If you’re still not reading this book, not only are you missing out on one of the best books DC or any other publisher has to offer, but you’ve obviously taken complete leave of your senses and/or lost touch with the general guidelines of good taste. Month after month, writer Gail Simone and artists Nicola Scott and Doug Hazlewood offer up all sorts of wonderfully debauched superhuman hijinks and one heck of a story, to boot! This latest saga thrusts the Six into their most divisive mission yet, as the gang enters into a contract with a filthy bunch of…nahh, we’re not gonna tell you here. We will tell you this though: this issue concludes with one of the most absurd pajama parties you’ve never hoped to witness and a Very Special Guest Star Cliffhanger!
Now with 100% more Steve Rogers! Sorta, maybe…we’re really not sure yet, actually. The important thing is that, hype aside, this continues to be a solid, action-packed story and seemingly part of some master plan that writer Ed Brubaker has had planned more or less since this volume of Captain America began. It all comes down to that fateful day when Steve Rogers was gunned down in cold blood, but there are secrets yet to be revealed, with ex-SHIELD Agent 13, Sharon Carter, as the master key to the original Captain America’s return.
